Coming soon: number 34

The Pulpster #34 (2025)
Shiwan Khan, one of The Shadow’s foes who appeared four times, graces the cover of number 34 of The Pulpster, which will be released in about two weeks at PulpFest 2025. He’s among the Masters of Villainy featured in a quartet of articles.
As our cover illustrates, we’ve got a package of articles on the “Masters of Villainy,” including Shiwan Khan and the other villains who encountered The Shadow at least four times. We also look at Doctor Death and the other so-called “villain pulps” that debuted in 1935 and beyond.
The Pulpster 34 also looks at Rafael Sabatini, Ed Wallace, and Edgar Rice Burroughs, three “Masters of Blood and Thunder” who were all born in the year 1875, and the Weird Tales story “Spear and Fang” that gave Robert E. Howard his start as a professional writer in 1925. We’ll also travel back to 1975 when Hollywood legend George Pal unleashed The Man of Bronze to theaters.
You’ll find all this and a whole lot more in the 2025 issue of The Pulpster, coming to you in a few short weeks at PulpFest 2025.
