Now that PulpFest has joined the list of pulp shows that have been canceled for 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, you might be asking about The Pulpster. Will it still publish?

Yes. In fact, we’re increasing the page count for a special, expanded issue.

In addition to the articles that we had originally planned for this year, we’ve asked a number of the folks who were going to do presentations at PulpFest to turn those presentations into articles.

All of this means that we’ve pushed back the deadline for our 29th number to accommodate the additional articles. So, if you were waffling over advertising in The Pulpster, you still have time to lock in a spot. (Please reach out to our publisher, Mike Chomko, to reserve space for your ad.)

PulpFest was originally scheduled for the first weekend of August, which is when The Pulpster would have been in your hands. With the expanded issue, we’re targeting mid- to late August for publication. We will get the word out about the number’s availability for purchase as that time draws nearer.

In addition to covering the cost of printing, money raised by the sale of Number 29 will benefit PulpFest, which plans on returning Aug. 19-22, 2021, to Pittsburgh, Pa.

That’s all for now. Keep an eye out here for a rundown of writers and articles you can expect to see in The Pulpster when it’s published later this summer.
